10:09 < HelpMe_Pls> I restored the ipod using itunes I then installed the latest iLoader after that I unpacked the latest RockBox for the nano 2nd gen. All worked fine I could get into RockBox I Then transfered some mp3's to a folder on the root of my ipod as soon as I updated the database and restarted this errror happened

10:21 < TheSeven> you should have shut it down cleanly by holding the play button, not reset it forcibly

10:21 < TheSeven> so it's at least clear where the ftl damage is coming from, however I have no idea why disk mode fails to repair it
10:22 < TheSeven> usually it will try to recover the FTL, and if that fails just wipe everything away and reinitialize

10:24 < TheSeven> but i'm afraid that this won't be fixable easily. it will at least involve installing a bunch of tools and poking at the flash more directly

10:27 < TheSeven> assuming you're on windows, you'll need to install python 2.6, the most recent pyusb release, and some winusb driver
10:27 < TheSeven> you'll also need a checkout of our SVN
10:27 < TheSeven> if you're on windows 7, you'll probably have to do a bootloader patch to allow loading unsigned drivers
