12:58 < benedikt93> and still then, the code that can be read out has to be dissassmbled and analyzed to figure out how to access the hardware

12:59 < benedikt93> they do encryption mostly in order to prevent some Chinese, whatever companies from doing a plagiate with the original firmware
12:59 < inuy4sha> damn... I thought there would be some workaround to transparently let users see the ipod as memory storage peripheral and store the mp3 the way ipod wants them
