After rebooting the PC and connecting the iPod I got an error, which said something like "Error with emCore Debugger..." 19:43 < dsana123> I can't seem to reset the iPod device. It stays on the Rockbox main menu (Files, Database, etc...). 19:43 < [7]> hm, holding menu+select doesn't reboot it? 19:44 < dsana123> I'll try now... 19:44 < dsana123> Ah, yes! 19:44 < dsana123> Let me try to USB connect again... 19:46 < dsana123> Hmmm, no error when USB connecting this time. I'll try transferring some files. 19:53 < dsana123> No luck so far. I'm on Windows Vista. I USB connect the iPod, an F: drive appears, but when I try to create a folder there is an error: "Could not find this item. This is no longer located in <%3 NULL:OpText>, Verify the item's location and try again" 19:56 < [7]> wtfh 19:56 < [7]> never seen that 19:56 * [7] suggests to try with a different computer 19:56 < dsana123> OK. 19:56 < dsana123> Thanks. 19:59 < dsana123> Oh, and also, after safely ejecting the USB connection on Vista, the iPod still shows the "USB plug" image. Maybe related. 20:04 < [7]> no, that's normal 20:04 < [7]> it doesn't recognize that it's being ejected and will wait for power to disappear on the bus 20:32 < dsana123> After trying a f ew things (on the same computer), I am now currently transferring some files over to the iPod. When I first connected via USB, opening windows explorer would hang the PC. I then disconnected the USB (the PC became reponsive), and reconnected for the second time. This time I was able to access the drive. 20:35 < [7]> interesting 20:37 < dsana123> It'll take a while to transfer my music (15GB), and maybe I'll try my audiobooks (45GB) as well at the same time in case getting access to the iPod drive proves problematic. I'll report back on whether the transfer was successful. 21:03 -!- dsana123 [4e69b22f@gateway/web/freenode/ip.78.105.178.47] has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds] 21:54 -!- benedikt93 [~benedikt9@unaffiliated/benedikt93] has quit [Quit: The higher the IQ of the individual...The more they enjoy watching a robot drive into a wall at top speed] 22:27 -!- liar [~liar@clnet-p09-185.ikbnet.co.at] has quit [Quit: hallowed are the ori!] --- Log closed Sun May 08 00:30:55 2011
