21:48 < ninjaguy> Hi, I've put RockBox on my iPod Classic (6g), and I'm having a problem where my system won't recognize the driver properly. I was able to make it work for a while by uninstalling the iPod driver when I wanted to connect and sync, but lately that hasn't been working, and now it won't even recognize the device. Any suggestions you can give me would be most appreciated.

22:13 < ninjaguy> there was one for a EmCORE debug device and for a RockBox device, but I uninstalled both of them

22:15 < ninjaguy> they were unrecognized devices. the only one that installed properly was the apple ipod driver.

22:16 < Farthen> just to be sure, you are now in the rockbox menu? not in emcore? and your device is detected as an ipod? as a mass storage device? or is it not detected at all?

22:19 < ninjaguy> I did notice that when I flashed EmCORE that it didn't format the drive. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

22:45 < Farthen> you can try uninstalling the ipod driver and search for a new one in device manager

23:20 < Farthen> to fix it you would need to boot umsboot again, flash the usbfixcandidate again and then extract http://files.freemyipod.org/tmp/rockbox-ipodclassic-usbfixcandidate.zip instead

23:32 < ninjaguy> one thing I'm noticing though is that the first time I used the .ubi file it prompted me to format the drive, but on subsequent installations that step was skipped and it went straight to flashing the boot loader. I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but it's the only thing I can think of that's changed.
