I used a very old version of iLoader (a few months ago). It created a backup file of my original bootloader and told me not to lose this file, but accidentially i deleted it :-(. Now I have iLoader installed, my Apple Firmware doesn't boot up (i restored it) and Rockbox gives me a "*PANIC* Stkov nand" error. Is there any way for me to repair my iPod (Nano 2G)? 21:47 < [7]> Clothahump: how does your boot menu currently look like? 21:47 < Clothahump> w8 21:47 < [7]> iloader still finds its theme? 21:48 < [7]> does disk mode still work? 21:48 < Clothahump> yes 21:48 < Clothahump> 1. default theme 21:48 < [7]> if yes you could use that to update to a newer rockbox version which doesn't have that stkov bug 21:48 < Clothahump> 2. disk mode works 21:48 < Clothahump> but is there any way to remove iloader or update it? 21:49 < [7]> yes, you can do both, but how this works depends on the exact version that you have installed 21:49 < Clothahump> since the update function doesn't seem work^^ 21:50 < [7]> you could either update to the latest iloader (which has been discontinued a while ago) or to emcore (which is what we're currently working with, but which seems to fail on a handful of devices) 21:52 < Clothahump> iLoader update doesn't work, it either takes me back to iLoader menu or it freezes 21:53 < [7]> so you have the update.cfg file in place? 21:54 < [7]> try downloading http://files.freemyipod.org/releases/20110424/installer-ipodnano2g-r708-20110424.ubi and saving it as /iloader/installer.bin 21:58 < Clothahump> w8 i'll try 21:58 < Clothahump> ok rockbox works now.. 22:00 < Clothahump> the update.cfg has to be in /iLoader too, right? 22:01 < [7]> yeah 22:02 < Clothahump> k it installed emcore now 22:03 < Clothahump> rockbox still works, but if i try to boot the apple os, it says "loading appleos.bin failed....." 22:03 < [7]> yeah, that file is probably just gone 22:03 < [7]> but it's good to know that emcore actually works on your device 22:04 < Clothahump> :D 22:04 < [7]> do you have a backup of appleos.bin somewhere? 22:04 < Clothahump> would apple os work if i'd restore or shouldnÄt i do that? 22:04 < Clothahump> no i havent 22:04 < [7]> hm, you can either just uninstall and reinstall emcore now (which involves restoring using itunes and thus losing all data on the ipod) 22:05 < [7]> or you can just grab an appleos.bin file from someone else :) 22:07 < Clothahump> can i extract appleos.bin from the firmware (restore) file? 22:07 < [7]> not without some hacking, that's not worth it... 22:09 < Clothahump> k i'll backup the files i need, uninstall emcore, restore my ipod and then install emcore again... you think it works then? 22:10 < [7]> Clothahump: check your PM windows :) 22:14 < Clothahump> k 23:38 -!- Clothahump [5438a918@gateway/web/freenode/ip.84.56.169.24] has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds] --- Log closed Wed Jun 29 00:55:54 2011
