I am tryikng to install emcore+rockbox in my ipod classic (80GB '07) and I can't get it to work. I tried to install the DFU driver without iTunes first. 14:21 < Verfblikje> Windows gave me the following error: the parameter is wrong. 14:22 < Verfblikje> (running Windows starter btw) 14:23 < Verfblikje> I also tried this with iTunes, but iTunes immediately wants to repair the iPod immediately. i.e. it opens as soon as I put the iPod in DFU mode. 14:24 < Verfblikje> Windows does not mention the connection of an iPod in DFU mode and doesn't start installing a driver. 14:24 < Verfblikje> Could you please help me? 14:41 < benedikt93> Verfblikje, when using iTunes (the simpler approach, esp. on Windows), you need to kill several apple processes. These should be iTunes.exe, and the ituneshelper and applemobile ones. 14:42 -!- Verfblikje [5147723f@gateway/web/freenode/ip.81.71.114.63] has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds] 14:42 < benedikt93> the simpler approach, esp. on Windows <-- bad formulation, ofc iTunes is Windows only 14:55 -!- Verfblikje [5147723f@gateway/web/freenode/ip.81.71.114.63] has joined #freemyipod-support 15:01 < Verfblikje> @benedikt93: I did kill appleMobileDeviceblabla, but I didn't kill any other (it didn't say so in the how-to :p). 15:02 < Verfblikje> I am now installing it on another pc. I have already succesfully installed emcore on another classic before with that computer. 15:03 < Verfblikje> Thnx for the help. =) 15:20 -!- Verfblikje [5147723f@gateway/web/freenode/ip.81.71.114.63] has quit [Quit: Page closed] 16:08 -!- benedikt93 [~benedikt9@unaffiliated/benedikt93] has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer] 16:08 -!- benedikt93 [~benedikt9@unaffiliated/benedikt93] has joined #freemyipod-support 17:02 -!- joey__ [18303f0b@gateway/web/freenode/ip.24.48.63.11] has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds] 19:00 -!- benedikt93 [~benedikt9@unaffiliated/benedikt93] has quit [Quit: Bye ;)] 22:35 -!- liar [~liar@clnet-p09-185.ikbnet.co.at] has quit [Ping timeout: 258 seconds] --- Log closed Sat Sep 10 00:23:38 2011
