I have a problem with installing emCORE on my ipod nano 2g -1 gb. After installing loader with ipod-patcher, the ipod is stuck with some text saying "emCORE v0.2.1 r692" on boot. 19:25 < user890104> baunegaard: this means that your ipod's lcd isn't compatible with emcore yet, you should use iLoader instead 19:26 < [7]> or the rockbox bootloader, depending on what your goal is 19:27 < baunegaard> arh okey. is work still in progress with the nano 2g? it has been quite some time since i saw a release last. 19:28 < user890104> it doesn't work on *some* nano 2gs 19:29 < user890104> but since we don't have such device, we can't debug what's going on and possible fix it 19:32 < baunegaard> if i had a spare one i woul happily donate it, is there something else i can do to help out with the one i have? 19:35 < user890104> unless you have knowledge in C programming and you're willing to debug/fix the issue yourself, nothing 19:38 < baunegaard> okay, thats sad. i used to run iloader on the nano before, are there any advantages in the rockbox bootloader vs iload? 19:40 < user890104> basicly you can remove the ~90mb firmware partition and use the space for your files 19:44 < baunegaard> doesn't iloader do that also? i seem to remember that it asks for it at install 19:45 < [7]> he meant iloader 19:45 < [7]> with the rockbox bootloader you need the apple firmware partition 19:46 < baunegaard> okay perfect then i will just flash iloader on it once more. thanks for the help :D 19:50 -!- [Saint_AndChat] [~Saint]@203.184.50.187] has quit [Ping timeout: 255 seconds] 20:03 < user890104> baunegaard: the advantage of rockbox's bootloader is that you can uninstall it by simply restoring with itunes, while iloader's uninstall procedure is a bit longer 20:03 < user890104> and yeah, i meant iloader in the previous answer 20:30 -!- [Saint_AndChat] [~Saint]@203.184.50.187] has joined #freemyipod-support 20:41 -!- benedikt93 [~benedikt9@unaffiliated/benedikt93] has quit [Quit: Bye ;)] 21:07 -!- baunegaard [5fa6360b@gateway/web/freenode/ip.95.166.54.11] has quit [Quit: Page closed] 21:45 -!- liar [~liar@clnet-p09-185.ikbnet.co.at] has joined #freemyipod-support 22:22 -!- liar [~liar@clnet-p09-185.ikbnet.co.at] has quit [Quit: hallowed are the ori!] 22:47 -!- [Saint_AndChat] [~Saint]@203.184.50.187] has quit [Quit: AndChat - Android IRC Client - http://www.andchat.net/] --- Log closed Fri Sep 30 00:39:57 2011
