14:02 < esalazioneHg> i restored the iPod with iTunes, now i have the v1.1.3 firmware. if i install the rockbox bootloader with the utility it says " bootloader already existent, overwrite?", then i put rockbox. 
14:03 < esalazioneHg> doing it manually it gives no error. 
14:03 < esalazioneHg> the problem is: if the battery goes completely down, a "restore your ipod with itunes"-screen appears. 
14:04 < esalazioneHg> no problem if the battery goes down with the original firmware.

21:11 < pete_> trying to update emCore to r817 from r776, when I eject and disconnect nothing happens, just the grey screen with the version-nr in the top left

21:12 < [7]> hm, I've seen lots of reports of this, someone has bisected that to r796, but we haven't yet figured out why that happens
21:12 < [7]> for some reason it works on all the devices the developers have tested it on :)

21:14 < pete_> I tried clearing the rockbox-settings and the cache from the umsBoot-menu, no luck with that either :(
21:15 < [7]> that won't help, it's apparently a bug in the hdd driver
21:16 < [7]> we'll probably just revert that change before the next release as the reason for it (allowing to boot through apple's bootloader as well) didn't work out like we wanted it to
21:25 < pete_> they don't make it easy, do they ? would be nice to have dual-boot at some point ..
