I've tried doing this on two computers, am I doing something wrong? [09:55:42] nezumi_: try this way - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_bIDtBohnE [09:56:51] no, it goes into that mode, my computer just doesn't detect it as such [09:57:11] and the bootstrap loader doesn't either [09:57:54] do you have itunes installed? [09:58:20] yes [09:58:39] but it said to not have it running [10:00:06] I tried it on my other computer which has the most recent itunes on it and it didn't read it either [10:02:28] did you kill itunes' processes before connecting the ipod? [10:02:43] applemobileservice or something like that [10:03:00] and maybe more of them (i don't have itunes installed, so i can't check) [10:07:48] yeah [10:08:20] i've tried looking around for people who are having similar issues, but no one seems to be... [10:08:33] i think it's that the driver for DFU mode for my ipod isn't installed? [10:08:56] when i go into the device manager that's what it says, anyways [10:10:34] try the other way then [10:10:40] using our custom driver [10:10:50] if you're lucky, it should work [10:11:20] it doesn't work on some configurations for some reason that we still haven't figured out [10:17:21] actually [10:17:27] i tried it again on my other computer and it worked [10:17:33] i guess my laptop is just weird [10:17:40] maybe because it's 64-bit windows? [10:17:55] thanks though :V [10:19:18] but it works on my win7 x64 laptop, which is strange [10:23:44] well my laptop is pretty shitty so maybe that's why [10:24:02] or maybe it's because i had a really really old version of itunes on this computer, it's possible that it predated my ipod [10:34:40] i dunno [10:34:49] but my ipod is just allergic to this computer now [10:34:55] it's not even able to detect it [10:35:01] but it works with my XP computer just fine [10:35:12] so i'll just...copy all the files slowly over the network i guess [10:35:14] :V [10:35:40] well i've gotten all the help i needed so i'll be going now, bye [10:35:43] *** Quits: nezumi_ (638d1af3@gateway/web/freenode/ip.99.141.26.243) (Quit: Page closed) [11:44:48] *** Quits: ShapeShifter499 (ShapeShift@95.211.165.246) (Excess Flood) [11:47:13] *** Joins: ShapeShifter499 (ShapeShift@95.211.165.246) [11:48:34] *** Quits: ShapeShifter499 (ShapeShift@95.211.165.246) (Excess Flood) [11:54:13] *** Joins: ShapeShifter499 (ShapeShift@95.211.165.246) [15:59:02] *** Joins: liar (~liar@clnet-p09-185.ikbnet.co.at) [18:29:43] *** Quits: liar (~liar@clnet-p09-185.ikbnet.co.at) (Ping timeout: 245 seconds) [18:30:22] *** Joins: liar (~liar@clnet-p09-185.ikbnet.co.at) [19:56:26] *** Joins: user890104 (Venci@0.vps.6bez10.info) [22:40:11] *** Joins: benedikt93 (~benedikt9@unaffiliated/benedikt93) [23:15:33] *** Quits: liar (~liar@clnet-p09-185.ikbnet.co.at) (Ping timeout: 245 seconds)
