[03:38:34] There it went. I thought the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. I've been trying to get the iPod to connect as "Apple Recovery (DFU) USB Driver" for over an hour, and it just did so after redoing what I have already done hundreds of times. [03:43:46] syntheticmemory: didn't you see the DFU how-to video? [03:45:02] I did. For some reason, it would not actually shut off like it was supposed to. [03:45:23] I must not have been holding down the buttons enough or something. [03:57:14] For some reason, the UMSBoot disk never connects. UMSBoot launches on the ipod, but no disk ever connects to the machine. The bootstrap program displays a win32 MessageBox that says "Success!", but the command console shows DeviceIoControl: Error 1167: The device is not connected. [03:57:16] :c [04:02:24] Now it says "A device attached to the system is not functioning" but I got UMSBoot to open. [04:06:29] There we go.
