[02:58:30] <[Saint]> connect the iPod in dfu mode and restore with iTunes. [02:58:49] I gave that a shot [02:59:05] <[Saint]> well, that's how its done. [02:59:25] iTunes linked me to support, because it couldn't restore it [02:59:40] <[Saint]> some people are having trouble with newer iTunes versions. [02:59:47] On OSX 10.6.8 [03:00:09] <[Saint]> try 9.somethingish if possible. [03:00:09] newest iTunes, that may explain it [03:01:06] <[Saint]> I don't know why, but using an older iTunes version seems to work for 4/5 people so far. [03:01:37] I don't know about rolling back updates. I'll look around, and if I can't then I will give it a go on someone else's computer. [03:02:17] <[Saint]> osx is foreign to me. [03:48:19] I do not, i've never gone back from rockbox [03:49:41] OSX doesn't like the filesystem for UMS boot, but if I find the firmware I could give that a shot in linux. I am contemplating removing Rockbox because it keeps locking up, almost for no reason it seems. It will be playing along, and then out of no where high-pitched buzzing coming blaring through the speakers - becoming known as 'the Rockbox FAIL' I have all [07:58:52] ...Especially like FLAC. I am wondering if there is a fix for the lock-up? When the sound high-pitched buzzes, everything locks up. I also see there is an update for the battery life meter being too small? I am wondering how install it if I do decide to keep Rockbox. [07:59:50] I love that it can play FLAC and that anyone can just transfer songs in and out of it but the high-pitched whine is getting to be too much instability [09:11:14] *** Quits: billytex (ae03ec68@gateway/web/freenode/ip.174.3.236.104) (Quit: Page closed) [15:28:46] *** Joins: cyb3rkn19ht (~cyb3rkn19@pool-71-163-243-218.washdc.fios.verizon.net) [19:55:42] *** Joins: [Saint_] (~quassel@101.98.158.103) [19:55:57] *** [Saint_] is now known as Guest59854 [21:43:35] *** Quits: cyb3rkn19ht (~cyb3rkn19@pool-71-163-243-218.washdc.fios.verizon.net) (Read error: No route to host) [21:44:26] *** Joins: cyb3rkn19ht (~cyb3rkn19@pool-71-163-243-218.washdc.fios.verizon.net) [22:30:39] *** Quits: Guest59854 (~quassel@101.98.158.103) (Remote host closed the connection) [23:01:56] *** Quits: STeeF (~STeeF@office.hostnetbv.nl) (Remote host closed the connection)
