It will then install USB Mass Storage Device and then fail on UMSboot RAMDISK USB Device. Any ideas? [01:11:59] <[Saint]> It probably means you're not actually getting into DFU mode. [01:12:57] <[Saint]> And/or you may be using a front USB port (which seem to always be flakey and crap for some reason) [01:15:08] <[Saint]> retry DFU mode; check the USB port (no USB3 and avoid front case USB ports); check the cable; try another machine. [01:18:13] I am using a front port ill try again, thanks [01:24:48] Fronts were usb3, plugged in elsewhere, and UMSboot G: popped up [01:36:02] <[Saint]> Excellent. [01:37:22] <[Saint]> I need to remember to edit the wiki to say to stay away from front USB ports (generally unstable) and USB3 (unsupported). [01:37:46] <[Saint]> USB3 hasn't really been too much of an issue so far, but it is becomming more common now. [01:41:12] Playing music on it now, now time to read up and learn about the settings and wait patiently for my A900x to arrive :D [01:46:20] *** Joins: TheSeven (~quassel@rockbox/developer/TheSeven) [02:02:08] *** Quits: xmnwildx12 (42d8e9a8@gateway/web/freenode/ip.66.216.233.168) (Ping timeout: 245 seconds) [03:17:48] *** Quits: TheSeven (~quassel@rockbox/developer/TheSeven) (Ping timeout: 276 seconds) [04:58:53] *** Joins: cyb3rkn19ht (~cyb3rkn19@pool-72-66-124-83.washdc.fios.verizon.net) [06:47:25] *** Quits: cyb3rkn19ht (~cyb3rkn19@pool-72-66-124-83.washdc.fios.verizon.net) (Remote host closed the connection) [09:58:04] *** Joins: tomcosm (7694d3fa@gateway/web/freenode/ip.118.148.211.250) [10:28:18] Hi There, I have the bootstrap_ipodclassic_itunes.exe running under virualbox on os x, which brings up the right message on my ipod classic 160gig, however that mounts the drive on the master os x. I copy the ubi file to the mounted drive and eject, but the ipod says multiple ubi files found, even tho it appears to be the only thing in the drive (including hidden files bar the .trash).
