On windows 7 it keeps saying that a connected device is not functioning, but also that USM has been activated. However my ipod is not showing up as a drive\ [21:52:33] faliens: sounds like a driver error, your best bet is trying to get it work on linux (for example on ubuntu) [21:53:06] or wait until [7] is online, he colud have other suggestions [21:53:31] Okay. Thank you. [21:53:46] I think I will try to follow up on both then. [22:14:08] <[7]> that "device not functioning" message is to be expected [22:14:38] <[7]> the other USB problem is completely unrelated, and we still haven't really figured out under which conditions that happens [22:14:57] <[7]> might be related to windows or usb driver versions, possibly itunes versions, or (on linux) kernel versions [22:15:33] <[7]> what we know is that it broke at some point all by itself, without any change from our side (using the very same binary, umsboot hasn't been touched in ages) [22:16:16] <[7]> people are reporting that usb3 ports and front panel ports are more likely to show this behavior, but we're still poking in the dark about the real root cause of it [22:24:27] *** Quits: faliens (6c5cb28c@gateway/web/freenode/ip.108.92.178.140) (Ping timeout: 250 seconds) [22:49:58] *** Quits: liar (~liar@clnet-p09-185.ikbnet.co.at) (Ping timeout: 256 seconds) [22:54:58] *** Joins: liar (~liar@clnet-p09-185.ikbnet.co.at)
