I can successfully get it into DFU mode, but iTunes will then open a box with a loading bar labeled "Waiting for iPod" and will eventually close with this error message: http://i.imgur.com/S8jJXCb.png Please also note that before, the iPod would often not display in Windows Explorer or iTunes. I was only able to get it to display after running the Roc [21:03:49] It now appears as though I can't get it out of DFU mode. Holding menu and select does nothing. [21:10:19] oBdurate: you might want to try the non-itunes restore method [21:14:19] *** Quits: oBdurate (4a417012@gateway/web/freenode/ip.74.65.112.18) (Ping timeout: 246 seconds) [21:33:37] *** Joins: oBdurate (4a417012@gateway/web/freenode/ip.74.65.112.18) [21:34:36] Sorry, had to reload. I'm checking forums for getting iTunes to recognize my iPod, as well as looking for the non-iTunes restore method [22:06:30] Somebody on the forum said they got it to work by repeatedly restarting it with select+menu. I guess I'll try that [22:41:45] So I was able to restore/reset it by using another computer [22:42:00] It was probably the drivers on my desktop causing the issue [22:42:03] *** Quits: oBdurate (4a417012@gateway/web/freenode/ip.74.65.112.18) (Quit: Page closed)
