[00:46:24] looking for some help.... [00:53:04] *** Joins: [Saint] (~saint@rockbox/staff/saint) [00:55:47] Hello, I installed emcore and rockbox. When I turnon my ipod 160Gb on I see the Boot Menu and when entering Rockbox I get ATA error screen [00:56:41] Followed by a large number and a message "Press on to debug [01:00:24] When installing emcore I got all drivers working except for the Emcore Debugger . I followed the installation and completed everything worked as expected [01:00:39] How can I solve my problem? [01:09:44] Saint: can you help me? [01:24:40] <[Saint]> eadomin: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=48640.0 [01:38:28] Saint: Thank you but I don´t know what to do. Should I ask in that forum or the solution is already there? [01:39:40] <[Saint]> The solution is right in the first post. [01:39:44] <[Saint]> Download and extract the (completely unsupported user supplied) archive to the root of the device. [01:41:17] The problem is that I connected the ipod to my PC and I don´t see it there [01:43:23] <[Saint]> Use the fallback installation. [01:43:44] <[Saint]> The fallback installation of Rockbox must have worked for you or you would never have been able to install ROckbox in the first place. [01:44:18] <[Saint]> SO, boot to emCORE, select the 'Tools' menu, and then select 'Run Rockbox fallback image' [01:44:35] <[Saint]> And then extract the build I linked to above to the root of the device. [01:44:48] With the ipod connected to the PC¨ [01:45:24] <[Saint]> Assuming you want to use USB, yes, you are going to have to connect it to the PC. [01:48:12] The file to be downloaded is the rockbox-ipod6g, correct? [01:49:48] <[Saint]> rockbox-929b526-150424.zip [01:57:06] Sorry Saint but I don´t see that zip file in the firstpost [01:57:52] <[Saint]> Then I'm sorry but you're clearly not looking. [01:58:27] <[Saint]> "The compiled Rockbox: See bottom of page at https://github.com/ilikenwf/rockbox-ipod6g" [01:58:35] <[Saint]> which will take you to https://mega.co.nz/#!1BkV0B6T!o6SFuKxx3rObv5qK9qANq1HcwjJpa69LQF6FAIBDftg [02:00:55] Sorry and thank you!! [02:03:57] There are a lot of files when I unzip it. The one to extract is the rockbox.ipod? [02:07:05] <[Saint]> I....what? [02:07:06] <[Saint]> No. [02:07:33] <[Saint]> Just extract the archive to the root of the device, as you would with any other Rockbox update. [02:10:54] Done. I suppose I have to eject the ipod, turn it of and that shoul be it? [02:17:51] Saint: Thank you again for your help. I can now se the Menu....its finally working. [03:07:39] <[Saint]> Not a problem. Everything working ok with my ipod as far as playing the files. I then tried to connect the ipod again to my PC and eventhough I see the usb cable on the ipod screen, the pc won´t load the usb drive. I cannot see the drive in my PC [19:31:14] After loading the first batch of files in my ipod, I connected a different player (Fiio) to the same usb connector of my PC. Does this affect the connection of my ipod again to the same port?
