I'm about to do a ssd mod on my friends 7g ipod and right now i'm tryying to back up his music. he's running emcore and rockbox on his pod. so i guess disk mode is gone from what i understand so far. [14:46:46] Is there an option to conviently copy files from the ipod to my pc? [14:47:37] when i run rockbox and connect it to my pc it gives me alot of errors and is not able to copy some files... [17:34:02] Guest46556: some rockbox versions have issues, try running the rockbox fallback image (which is a known-good version) from emcore's tools menu [17:34:37] if you have equipment to access the HDD/SSD outside of the ipod, that might be the quickest and easiest way to transfer things [17:34:51] there's nothing fancy going on here, plain old FAT32 filesystem on the HDD [19:31:31] cheers! i don't have a adapter so i'm stuck with the normal transfer method [21:20:14] *** Quits: Guest46556 (bc660b5e@gateway/web/freenode/ip.188.102.11.94) (Quit: Page closed) [21:41:07] *** Quits: krnlyng (~liar@83.175.90.24) (Ping timeout: 276 seconds) [23:44:13] TheSeven: how does software different than emcore and rockbox handle the BBT when the storage is accessed directly? [23:44:20] it's at sector 0, right? [23:47:41] unless hddscan2 was successfully run on an ipod, there is no BBT at all [23:48:08] if there is one, 3rd party tools won't be able to mount it
