I've asked here 'bout USB storage troubleshooting on my iClassic, someone said about implementing dualboot and USB improvements, did you get any luck about it? [13:32:42] shdwprince: both are implemented but not well tested. there's a testing build, but it's not recommended to use it unless you know how to recover your ipod if something goes wrong [13:33:29] and while dualboot works, there's no menu option for it, and you need to launch it using a program on your computer [13:35:23] And I need to reformat my HDD again? [14:18:53] no, reinstalling emcore doesn't require a HDD format [14:19:17] but if you mess things up with untested versions, it would need one [14:19:34] for example, our new "disk mode" app sometimes corrupts the HDD filesystem [14:29:36] Copying 100GB of music is somehow long. [14:46:12] it is [14:46:33] so it's recommended to use the rockox fallback image [14:46:40] until we have a stable version [14:46:52] tools -> run rockbox fallback image [14:47:02] and use the regular one only for listening to music [15:22:45] That's a strange thing, but for me, fallback image have troubles with USB storage too. [15:24:37] We've talked about it, but seems that no one knows the solution. [15:29:59] I've not done enough testing with default firmware, 'cause after actually buying ipod I immediately installed rockbox into it, maybe it's hardware problem in HDD (ipod was used before me).
