[17:44:10] NewGuy: no idea which exact revision that is, try it out ;) [17:44:39] it most importantly contains a patched rockbox fallback image that includes fixes for some trouble with tarkan's sd/cf/msata adapters, as well as some other HDDs [17:44:56] oh, and the new usb driver, hoping that this will be more stable [17:45:24] so sure, go ahead and test it, it's basically some kind of beta build [17:45:45] all of those features are supposed to end up in the official builds eventually [17:48:59] TheSeven: oki.. Thanks.. The release build isn't giving me any issues but thought I'd test it out and report back.. The rockbox toolchain isn't happy with emcore and I haven't gotten around to the TNT toolchain (Yeah I googled rockbox irc chatlogs :P) [17:49:24] oh, TNT isn't even the worst part ;) [17:49:34] the elf2emcoreapp tool is ;) [17:49:58] eventually we'll try to make rockbox selfcontained anyway, and move away from TNT [17:50:41] if you want to stress test this build a bit, the major differences are in the handling of USB, as well as HDD errors and caching [17:50:55] USB (stability, performance) is most interesting for testing [17:51:13] especially in comparison to the official rockbox builds [17:51:44] did you also snatch a link to the patched rockbox build? [17:52:14] it's rockbox-ipodclassic-with-all-patches.zip in the same directory [17:52:46] TheSeven: oki thanks.. I'll get that too.. [17:53:06] Will report back if I can get it to do something funny [17:54:28] And thanks you all the emcore guys for the great work :D [18:10:56] *** Quits: NewGuy (3bb72941@gateway/web/freenode/ip.59.183.41.65) (Quit: Page closed) [19:12:27] *** Joins: [Franklin] (~franklin@unaffiliated/franklin) [20:12:33] *** Quits: TheSeven (~quassel@rockbox/developer/TheSeven) (Remote host closed the connection) [20:15:24] *** Joins: TheSeven (~quassel@rockbox/developer/TheSeven)
